About the Service:

When you contact us looking for buying advice, we can either tell you there and then what to look for when it comes to cheap accessories, or we can take some details on how you plan to use the device, as well as your budget, and conduct some research online for you. This research involves taking the information you provided and coming up with a suitable set of technical specifications. We can then take these specifications and filter search results accordingly across a variety of websites that are both in Ireland and within the European Union, in addition to the manufacturers themselves, where applicable.

After finding several suitable devices we will check the first few results and select the top three based on their prices, user reviews, and critic reviews. At this point we will take those three devices and list them complete with name, price and where to buy them including the web address. Once this list is ready, we will contact you and arrange to send a form including this information which can then be e-mailed or posted to you once payment has been received.

While the above is a service that we charge for, feel free to send an email, or message through social media, if you want to get our opinion on a device before purchasing it and we will get in contact with you as soon as possible, who knows, you might be paying a few hundred euros more than you need to be.

While we will always try to make sure the buying advice we give is correct and the device is in stock, the reality of online shopping and technology in general is that sometimes the information presented online can be wrong or the device can be out of stock. To combat this, we make sure to find several retailers selling the same device and compare the specifications between them or we will compare the specifications to those on the manufacturer’s website.

Before I finish I have a few points about the service that I wish to draw your attention to:

  1. We cannot purchase the item for you, we can only tell you where you can buy it.
  2. If an item is on sale we will try to make this clear to you, as this can affect prices significantly depending on the retailer.
  3. Prices do not include delivery (However, many places don’t charge for expensive items, and those that do can be between €10 and €20).

With that out of the way, thank you for reading this post on Tech Advice’s Buying Advice service. Next time I will be looking at how we can help you with your Cybersecurity needs and questions. As always, feel free to post a comment either here or on my social media pages if you have any ideas for future blog posts.
