About the Owner

My name is Seán Nikken, I have lived in Inistioge all my life so far. As you may have guessed, technology is one of my greatest passions, alongside helping people. These two things form the foundations of Tech Advice and its mission to help people get the most out of their technology. I have been helping people with their technology issues for a little over a decade now, from teachers pulling me out of classes in secondary school to help “fix the internet”, to neighbours needing help with their computers or smartphones. On top of this I have built and upgraded a number of PCs (including the one I am typing this from), in turn learning about the ever-changing nature of technology along the way.

If you have any questions about me (within reason of course) or Tech Advice, feel free to contact me by email, phone, through Facebook, or by using the form found on the “Contact Information” page.

To make sure that you are getting the best service, I have completed a few courses to provide me with the knowledge and skills needed to help you with your tech issues. Read on for more information on these courses.

The BBS (H) degree is a level 8 qualification from Waterford Institute of Technology. In my case I completed the first two years of the course before opting for the management stream. The management stream teaches students how to: manage people, lead a team, resolve conflicts, and manage change, among many other things. As part of this I also spent six months studying at Windesheim UAS in Zwolle, the Netherlands, as part of the Erasmus program.
